Maria Londono is a bilingual (English-Spanish) therapist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, with a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the University of Georgia – from which she received the Outstanding Student Award “Summa Cum Laude”. Maria has worked for over 12 years helping children, adolescents, and adults affected by trauma. Currently, she is also helping individuals and families with a wide range of issues including adjustment disorders, anger management, anxiety, behavioral problems, and depression. In addition, Maria is a certified anger management specialist and has extensive experience facilitating anger management classes for adults/adolescents/children.
Maria works at the Counseling Institute of Atlanta. Her work is centered on eclectic therapy, which incorporates various therapeutic approaches that are supported by evidence-based practices. Previous to working at the Counseling Institute of Atlanta, she worked for several nonprofit organizations including the Latin American Association. Maria is a member of the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work (GSCSW) and a member of the Phi Alpha National Honor Society.
